Decide When and Where You Would like to Volunteer
VIP's international website gives you a picture of our worldwide network. VIP in Ghana adheres to the standards and best practices adopted by our international organization - Federation EIL.

Our website shows you examples of what you might accomplish as a volunteer in our country. You see how VIP, in turn, can add to your life experience with language training, meaningful cultural immersion and the satisfaction of service.

Fill Out the International Inquiry Form
After you have looked at VIP Host Country pages and decide which opportunities interest you most, click on “Inquiry Form” to the left. Fill out the form as completely as possible. You can indicate preference for more than one country, and up to three types of volunteer service.

This form goes to the VIP Director for the country where you live, or to the International Office if there is no VIP office for your country. You should receive an email response within five business days. You can also print the form out, and mail or fax it to the appropriate VIP office. The Application Process
The Sending Office will contact you and provide application materials. Applications are accepted all year round. You should apply at least 3 months before you expect to start.

In addition to the application form, you will need to provide references and medical information. Certain placements may also require proof of professional certification and/or a background record check. If your program includes a homestay, you will be asked for "Dear Family" letter and photographs.

A deposit equal to 20% of your program fee must accompany your application form. Once you are notified of acceptance, your deposit becomes non-refundable.
